We will deploy grants to help them bridge the monetary hole, and provide guidance to help them navigate the intricate net of private and non-private resources now available. LISC will focus these efforts on traditionally underserved communities—especially these enterprises owned or led by minorities and women, who often lack access to inexpensive capital. In addition to deploying grants to assist small businesses bridge the financial gap, LISC will provide steering to help them navigate the intricate web of public and private sources now out there. Across the United States, small companies that type the economic backbone of our communities now face quick – and oftentimes, crushing – monetary pressure because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
